A clear approach to All-on-4 Implant Treatment
All-on-4 treatment is a significant health and financial decision. We use examination, photography, digital scans, and 3D imaging to understand anatomy and function, then explain realistic All-on-4 options, including benefits, limitations, maintenance, and alternatives.
Progressive Dental serves children and adults from South Oklahoma City and surrounding communities. Our small team takes time to listen, show you what we see, and separate urgent needs from care that can be planned over time.

UPDATE: I am currently in the process of having some teeth implanted, and Dr. McReynolds is as great at implants as other procedures! Just this week I also needed some emergency dental work done and was able get in the next day.

Choosing All-on-4 with confidence
What does All-on-4 mean?
All-on-4 describes a full-arch treatment approach using four strategically placed implants to support a fixed set of replacement teeth. It is different from replacing every missing tooth with its own implant. Some full-arch plans use more than four implants because anatomy, bone, and the planned restoration differ. Your examination determines the number and position appropriate for you.
Fixed implant teeth versus snap-in dentures
Fixed full-arch teeth stay attached to the implants and are removed by a dental professional when needed. A snap-in denture attaches to implants for retention but is taken out by the patient for cleaning as instructed. Conventional dentures rest on the gums without implant support. Compare stability, daily cleaning, repair needs, treatment cost, and what each option feels like in everyday use before deciding.
Who is a candidate for full-arch implants?
This treatment may suit adults with extensive tooth loss, failing teeth, or difficulty wearing a conventional denture. Dr. McReynolds evaluates your gums, remaining teeth, bone, bite, and health history. 3D imaging helps assess anatomy and guide planning. Existing teeth should not be removed simply because full-arch treatment is available; we discuss whether teeth can reasonably be preserved and what alternatives exist.
Can you get teeth on the day of surgery?
Some patients can receive a fixed temporary restoration when implants are placed. That depends on the treatment plan, implant stability, bone, and other clinical findings. A temporary set of teeth is different from the final restoration. You may need a modified diet and a healing period before final teeth are made. Ask what you will wear at each stage and what could change the plan.
Understanding All-on-4 costs
A full-arch estimate depends on whether one or both arches are treated, the number of implants, extractions, grafting, sedation, and the temporary and final restorations. Ask what is included and what may carry a separate fee. Our team can review your proposed plan and insurance benefits. We do not use a single advertised price to decide which treatment is appropriate for your mouth.
Recovery and long-term maintenance
Follow your individual instructions for diet, activity, medications, and cleaning after surgery. Keep scheduled healing checks before progressing to the final restoration. Fixed teeth still need careful cleaning underneath and around the implants, plus professional maintenance. Removable designs have their own daily routine. Ask the team to demonstrate cleaning before you leave and contact us about swelling, looseness, or bite changes.

What to expect
Your All-on-4 Implant Treatment visit
Every plan is individualized, but the process usually begins with these four steps:
- Define your goals for comfort, appearance, and function
- Evaluate teeth, gums, bone, bite, and medical factors
- Digitally plan implant and restoration positions
- Coordinate surgery, provisional teeth, healing, and final restoration
No-pressure planning
Understand the options before deciding.
We will tell you what we found, what may happen without treatment, and which options fit your priorities. When more than one path is reasonable, we compare them plainly. When a specialist would provide the best care, we say so.
Insurance coverage varies by plan. Our team can help estimate benefits and out-of-pocket costs, but your insurer makes the final coverage decision.
Common questions
Questions about All-on-4 Implant Treatment
Does All-on-4 mean I receive permanent teeth the same day?
Some patients may receive a fixed provisional restoration on the day implants are placed, but candidacy and the final timeline depend on stability, anatomy, and healing.
Is the restoration removable?
Both patient-removable and dentist-removable designs exist. We will be precise about which type is being discussed and how it must be maintained.
What happens if I am not a candidate?
Other implant arrangements, conventional dentures, staged treatment, or referral may provide a safer or more predictable route.
